This past September, 2009, I was in Europe on the last day of Ramadan, which also happened to be the first day of Rosh Hashanah. These two spiritual calendars do not always coincide like that, but on that day, I clearly heard the Lord say, “It is the calm before the storm.” Let me unpackage what I understood Him to be saying by that:

We are moving into a spiritual time frame where the agendas of world religions are about to collide. I am speaking primarily of Islam and Judaism and I believe that there are events unfolding right now, which may escalate into national military threats between Iran and Israel in 2010. Spiritual calendars are colliding – and other nations with ideological alliances to both of these nations will be drawn into a much greater global crisis. China and Russia will be stirred and use language of war. The increasing economic pressures will also be a factor in drawing nations into military alliances with either side. The polarities of the religious ideologies will manifest, not simply in terrorism, but in national military initiatives, beginning in 2010 and continuing over the ensuing years. We must really pray for the peace of Jerusalem like never before, as it feels to me like there are forces at work for a third world war.

The good news is that God’s army is also preparing, and we are one step ahead. For example, I feel that the current outpouring in IHOP has potential to be bigger than Toronto, that it will go global very quickly, and that God is going to give the House of Prayer paradigm global leadership over this next move of the Spirit. I saw several cities in revival, with healings and miracles breaking out. God is moving America (“And I will put my Spirit in you and move you to follow my decrees and be careful to keep my laws” Ezek. 36:27) to seek Him as the god of mammon falls, and fears of war break out. God will use these pressures to cause Americans to seek Him and many cities will experience a great harvest of souls – even seeing churches and civic venues filled with meetings with great spiritual power. This current awakening is spiritual preparation for what is coming, so that the Church has solutions to the global crises we are facing – similar to when God gave Joseph understanding on how to provide food in the midst of a global famine. Many will be used in healing and either multiplication of resources (ie: food/provsion miracles), or given strategies from God about how to get gain – He will bless them to be a blessing.

Also, I see God setting hidden men and women of the Spirit into strategic, mostly hidden positions for the distribution of billions of dollars. These people have the ears and hearts of kings and will be responsible for the re-direction of wealth and favor (very much like Daniel/Joseph/Esther). These people are already in place. The next six months will be crucial for wealth distribution.

Again, I think it is significant that the healing revival is coming out of the house of prayer – this is the wineskin that God is preparing for what I believe is shortly coming on the earth – both in revival and judgment.
